In May 1942 deep behind Soviet lines veteran Sergeant Vaskov commands a small anti-aircraft unit of inexperienced young women. When a team of elite German saboteurs parachutes into the area Vaskov and his soldiers must defend a strategic outpost facing overwhelming odds and paying the highest price to protect their homeland.
